Selling a Tenant-Occupied Property in New Jersey. In this video, I will discuss the 3 things to consider when selling your property with tenants.
1. The lease situation. Depending on state laws, owner can be required to give 30 or 60 days notice to evict/sell unit. Or you can negotiate with tenants for early release.
2. Tenants giving access to the property. Owner needs tenant’s cooperation to provide access, when showing property to prospective buyers.
3. Selling directly to investors/buyers. This will avoid problems in dealing with the tenants.
